Registration:

Per each registration, you may interview up to 4 candidates and trial for a period of 3 days. https://thenannieagency.co.za/registration-form/

A R280 non-refundable registration fee is payable prior to conducting interviews.

 

Interviews:

After the interview has taken place, please advise your agent which nanny you would like to trial and the agent will make the necessary arrangements with the candidate. 

On each trial day you will need to pay the nanny directly for her day’s work. The daily rate for a 9 hour day from 8am – 5pm is R400.  Additional trial days are charged by the agency at a cost of R100 per day.

Interviews may be held at your home or a venue you feel most comfortable at. A transport rebate of R50 is to be refunded to the nanny after an interview has taken place.

 

 

Permanent Placements:

  1. The Nannie Agency charges a once off placement fee of 12% (no VAT is charged) of the total annual salary (total salary is inclusive of transport costs and cell phone allowances) of an employee placed with the client.
  2. The Nannie Agency offers a three-month replacement guarantee on all permanent placements, we do not offer refunds.  We do offer a placement without a guarantee, you may discuss this with your agent for further info.
  3. The Nannie Agency offers one replacement per position.
  4. The Nannie Agency candidates earn a market related salary which is from R8500+ per month for a full-time role (equivalent 5 working days.  The nanny’s experience, previous earnings, skills and transport costs do influence her salary band.
  5. A full placement fee is applicable in the event of the client engaging any Nannie Agency applicant within a twelve (12) month period on receipt of the applicants’ profile document of an interview has been arranged and attended by the client or any party to whom the client might have introduced the applicant to.
  6. Placement fees are due as soon as the nanny begins employment.  Should the invoice not be settled by due date, The Nannie Agency will request that the “placed candidate” not return to work until settlement has been made or we find the candidate new employment.

 

 

Conditions of guarantee:

  1. The invoice is paid on due date.
  2. All requests for a replacement need to be made in writing within the first three months of employment.
  3. All replacement terms are met (see below)

Replacement Guarantee Terms

We are committed to ensuring the right fit between our clients and our candidates. Should a replacement be required, it will be provided only if the following conditions are met:

 

  1. Fair Dismissal:
    The correct dismissal procedures were followed in accordance with labour law. The client remains solely responsible for ensuring that any termination is fair and compliant with applicable employment legislation.
  2. Compliance with Employment Terms:
    The employer did not breach the employment contract in any way, including matters relating to working hours, agreed overtime, salary payments or deductions, living conditions, or any other basic conditions as set out in the Minimum Standards of Employment Act.
  3. Irreconcilable Relationship:
    The relationship between the nanny and employer has deteriorated to a point where continued employment is no longer possible.
  4. Timely Payment:
    Salaries and benefits have been paid in full and on time for the duration of employment.

 

Replacement Limitations

We regret that we cannot offer a replacement or refund under the following circumstances:

  • If the nanny resigns due to non-compliance by the client regarding signed working hours, rate of pay, or other agreed employment conditions.
  • If we have presented a minimum of six (6) suitable replacement candidates who meet the requirements of the position, and all options have been declined by the client. In such cases, the replacement guarantee will be considered fulfilled, and no further replacements or refunds will be issued.

 

Referral of candidates:

The Nannie Agency will charge a full placement fee in the event of any candidate who has previously been introduced to the client through the agency and is offered employment in a temporary, part time or permanent capacity. 

Any client who offers the candidate full time or part time work after the candidate has been placed and finished their contract with the client through the agency, is liable for the placement fees of that employment offer. The normal placement fees would apply.

 

Temporary Night Nanny and Ad Hoc Placements:

  1. Temporary placements are for a fixed period of time (up to 6 months) and may only be extended once according to labour regulations after which the candidate will be considered to be permanently employed.  Trial days for temporary placements are 1 day for each month of possible employment offered, up to 3 days.
  2. Fees for temporary and night nanny placements are 20%of the earning of the candidate for the duration of the contract, charged in advance.  Fees are due on the day the candidate begins employment.  We do not refund fees or replace temporary candidates.
  3. In the event that the candidate is offered permanent employment at the end of the contract or at any time during the contract, a full permanent placement fee is charged thereafter.   If the nanny is offered a permanent position after one month of temporary work with the same client, the fee for the temporary month will be deducted from the placement fee.  If a permanent position is offered in the second month of the contract, the full fee will be applicable.
  4. Night nannies earn R600-R800 per night and the nanny is paid directly by the client.  The registration fee covers the interview and one trial night.
  5. Ad hoc temporary placements are in the event of a client who needs a nanny/housekeeper urgently and application and payment needs to be made within 24 hours of commencement of work.
  6. When an ad hoc nanny/housekeeper is required, the agent will select the nanny/housekeeper and direct her to the home of the client, the client should ensure that there will be someone to greet the nanny/housekeeper and familiarize her with the home before commencement of work and inform her of her tasks/duties for the day.  The client accepts that the agency will make a selection of candidate based on the requirements by client as indicated.
  7. The agency pays the candidate for all ad hoc work once the client has confirmed her attendance.
